We Moved to the Amazon Jungle
A family of seven, homesteading in the rainforest, working with the Yachana Foundation, and learning about the abundant life and culture of Ecuador.
Our Journey
Moving our family to Ecuador was something we talked about and dreamed about for years but felt impossible. Ever had a dream that felt too big? We’re learning that “impossible”, is possible. What is home life like living in the rainforest?
Working with the
Yachana Foundation
The Yachana Foundation is place for learning. With a 2,500 acres of rainforest and a focus on education, they are involved with conservation, research, tourism and improving opportunities with the local rural community. See what we’re doing together!
Life and Culture of Ecuador and the Amazon Rainforest
With such a unique and diverse environment all around us, we are learning about the plants, animals, culture and food of Ecuador. Come and see!
Talking Agriculture with William
William is the Ag guy. He’s always saving seeds, planting seeds and learning how to better grow this fruit or more efficiently raise that animal. He loves a meal that you can identify as having come from your own finca (farm).
Here we share tricks and tips to homestead. Especially in a tropical climate, like we are in Ecuador’s Amazon.
